I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Vision at MBZUAI with a research focus on developing safe, reliable and scalable AI systems. My work is organized around four interconnected themes: (1) visual robustness and generalization under distribution shift, (2) reliable and trustworthy prediction through model calibration and uncertainty estimation, (3) label efficient and scalable learning for resource conscious vision systems, and (4) applications of AI that address societal needs in areas such as healthcare, sustainability and climate analysis. I have built an internationally visible research profile with publications across all leading AI and vision venues including CVPR, ICCV, NeurIPS, AAAI, ACM Multimedia, ECCV, WACV and TPAMI. Several of these works have received spotlight, highlight, oral and best paper recognitions.
